Kali Puja – is one of the popular Puja for Hindus. In the Bengalese Religion, the name of the festival is ‘Kali Puja’. But in case of others, they used to celebrate ‘Diwali’ (The same thing but the name is different). Maa Kali has different faces in India. Maa Tara is another popular face of Maa Kali.

Kali Puja is celebrated on ‘Amabasya Tithi’ and during the Nighttime. Maa Kali is known as the God of Evils. This is the reason for doing the Puja at night.

Bengalese use to enlighten Pradip (Diya) in their house & decorate with colorful lights. People used to play with Crackers like Rockets, Fuljhuri , Charki etc.
