Hindus celebrate Durga Puja with immense enthusiasm, Efort and contribution. Durga Puja is the main puja for Hindus. They celebrate this puja from 'Sashthi' to 'Bijoya Dasami'. As per the myth, Maa Durga(Goddess of Power) comes her mother's house (Earth) with her family (Kartick, Ganesha, Sarswati, Laxmi).

In the year 1782, Raja Joynarayan Ghoshal had established. Patitpaboni Durga at his own Rajbari (Bhu-Kailash). In the year 1871, he had established two separate mandir for Shibji, one is Raktokamaleshwar and the other one is Krishnachandreshwar.

Patitpabani Murti is of Eight-Metals and Maa Durga is sitting on the Lion. Each and every special puja, the pujari used to dress-up Patitpaboni Mata in different styles, Like: - as Sri Krishna in Janmastami • as Laxmi maa in Kojagori Laxmi Puja • as Kali maa in Amabasya Kali Puja
