Remixing of Rabindra sangeet

This is my earnest request to all Bengali people and to the educate people of the world.

Previously when Copyright rule was on Rabindrasangeet, hardly anyone to copy/Record the Songs of Rabindranath with out the permission o Viswabharati. Now days, when some educated peoples of India applied to withdraw the copyright, Central Government announced that next 10-Years the policy will be there. And its really good and crucial step.

Rabindrasangeet for Bengalis means a lot and to the world as well. Not only Music and Lyrics of the Rabindrasangeet, We all respect it for its inner appealing meaning. The greatness of Rabindranath that he wrote songs depending upon the moments of life.

It's felt bad when some renowned Bands and Musicians have remixed Rabindrasangeet in these days. Is it sounds good, if we play Rabindrasangeet in Rock Style?? I personally feel Remix of Rabindrasangeet pulling the culture o Bengalese down to bottom level. Thanks God!! Rabindranath isn't living in these days; otherwise he might have left writing songs with proper meaning.

I feel that the Singers are criminal, who sang the song in their own way. They should respect the culture and Bengali citizens. It is fact that now days everything coming up with the new style and changing a lot in the presentation whether in Drama, Cinema or Songs but we should not change our Traditional Culture for which we are known to the world.

In such circumstances a public poll (opinion) need to be organized for controlling all of these Musical and Singers. They should be banned from participating in public functions. Law has limitations but incase of public power that is Unlimited. It can do anything. Those singers when sit for any programme they will be allow to sing only real songs not these vulgar songs to sing.

Save our Culture by Saving Rabindrasangeet. There won't be any other Rabindranath in future if this goes in this way...

Regards,
Anindya(Andy)
