Very few people of West Bengal and in India is familiar with ‘Rashbehari Shiksha Prangan’. But, all of those are aware and know the name ‘Rajabazar Science College’. You might be thinking of why am I taking these two names? I am taking two names, as both are same. Rashbehari Shiksha Prangan is the old name of Rajabazar Science College.

Rajabazar Science College is the major college under Calcutta University which offers all the science courses in Kolkata. Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy had taken the initiative to start Applied Chemistry department in Rajabazar Science College in the early 1980’s.

Rajabazar Science College has now all the Science departments and they are as follows along with courses: -

2. Applied Physics Department of Rajabazar Science College – B.Tech in Electrical, B.Tech in Instrumental, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, M.Tech courses.

Rajabazar Science College is world-famous Science College and produced many Scientist and Researcher like Satyendranath Basu, Dr. Meghnad Saha etc etc.

Rajabazar Science College is located on A.P.C.Road of Kolkata. Rajabazar Science College is very near to Sealdaha Railway Station and near to Rajabazar Tram Depot. Bus, Auto, Taxi service is excellent for it’s location. One can get Bus service from Howrah Railway Station or from other corners of Kolkata to Rajabazar Science College.
