The Beach resort 'Bakkhali' is almost 132 kms from Kolkata. Though the accommodation (Hotels, Lodges) is not much in 'Bakkhali' but people of Bengal has 'Don't Care' attitude for visiting 'Bakkhali'. Bakkhali attracts people for its beautiful beach and one could have a walk towards 'Frasergunj' on the beach from Bakkhali.
Bakkhali by Road: -
One should go to 'Namkhana' from Kolkata (105kms) by bus and then need to cross river 'Hatnia Doania'. From there have to take a bus for Bakkhali.

: - WBTDC Tourist lodge is available but very few accommodations are available.
Diamond Harbor known for Picnic Spot for Kolkatans because of its easy connectivity with Kolkata. Diamond Harbor is the place of Portuguese Forts. Several Lodges and Hotels are there on the highway, which connects Diamond Harbor with Kolkata.
How to reach Diamond Harbor?
- Diamond Harbor by Road: Bus services are frequent from Kolkata to Diamond Harbor through Diamond Harbor Road.
- Diamond Harbor by Rail: South Eastern Railway service available to Diamond Harbor from Sealdaha Railway Station of Kolkata.
Where to stay in Diamond Harbor?
WBTDC Sagarika Lodges are available and as mentioned above Hotels are there beside highway.
SAGARDWIP Island is the greatest Hindu pilgrimage centers in India and abroad. Mid of January (Maker Sankranti), the region of Ganga connecting with Bay of Bengal comes alive for the 'Gangasagar Mela'. Sagardwip also famous for Kapil Muni Temple. Thousands of Devotee and pilgrimage comes here for a holy dip on Makar Sankrati (Gangasagar Mela). Bengalese used say "Sab Tirtha Bar Bar; Gangasagar Ekbar".
How to reach Sagardwip?
Take a bus from Kolkata to Namkhana (105kms) and cross river 'Muriganga' by boat to reach Chemaguri and from Chemaguri take a bus for Gangasagar.
Where to stay in Sagardwip?
Hotels and Lodges are yet to be established. One could live in Ashrams,
Raichak is in progress of making an attractive tourist spot of Bengal. 'Shyamolima' is the riverside eye catching retreat, which has been developed. Raichak is only 50Kms from Kolkata and has a beautiful Resort named 'Radisson Fort'. So, Raichak is a good place for spending your weekend with your family or friends.
Gadiara is near to 'Rupnarayan' Rivers and is opposite to 'Diamond Harbor'. Bus service is available fro Howrah & Kolkata to Gadiara. There are two more optional routes available to reach Gadiara from Kolkata and they are:-
1. By train go to 'Bagnan' from Howrah and from Bagnan take a Bus to Gadiara.
2. Take bus from Kolkata and go to Noorpur and the cross the river by ferry.
WBTDC tourist bungalows are there in Gadiara for living.
