What is Eco-Tourism?
Eco-tourism involves traveling to naturally blessed lands for studying and getting knowledge of the plants, animals, culture and the natural beauties. This is why it is different from Resort Tourism and Mass Tourism.

Sanctuary, Nature is the prime attraction for Eco-Tourism. The place should be sustainable in ecologically, culturally, and economically and sociology for developing it to an eco-tourism place. West Bengal's Forest Department was the main implementing agency of eco-tourism in Bengal and gradually the activities came from tourism Department, Eco-Development Committees and Forest Protection Committees of West Bengal.

Public conveniences with the road map within the eco-tourism spot should be the first step. Eco-tourism needs observation Tower, Garbage disposal facilities and most importantly experiences Nature Interpretation Centre.
