Mamata Banerjee and Victory in 2009 Indian Parliamentary Election


Trinamool Congress achieved well in the 2009 Parliamentary Election, and bagged 19 MP seats, in the midst of them 5 women including her, restated her confidence in the Women's Reservation Bill.

The other allies Congress and SUCI as well got 6 and 1 MP seats correspondingly. This is the most excellent performance by any opposition party in West Bengal ever since the start of the left command. Till now the congress triumph of 16 seats in 1984, by the compassion vote after the demise of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, was well thought-out the finest opposition show.
