Palpara is most beautiful and energetic place in West Bengal The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) are says, Palpara is favorite place of hindu because here a Temple are situated and local people are saya this a Math mandir/Kali Mandir/ Shiv Mandir, actually any one don't know surely about this Temple. After the 17th century the temple was totally abandoned, but now The Archaeological Survey of India are declared that this a monument of national importance.
Structure of Palpara Temple:
The temple structure are totally made of old brick which are now broken in every site. In this place you can find the very natural view from every site. Actually this temple are made by Gandharba Roy in the 17th century, but now to time factor lost of everything that is, who is the founder of this temple all are lost. The temple stand on around 21 meters tall on a square base. This temple architect as Charchala type. When you visit here you can see entrance is flanked by brick pillars on either side. This area are totally curved by terracotta panels but maximum of them are totally destroy by time factor and natural event. You can see in the temple wall one side is Ramayana and lotus, motif work. One side you can see Rama shootings arrows and another side Ravana was defending them arrows.
The temple is very beautiful according to ASI says, the temple wall is 5ft high, you can see a caretaker when you reached there. The garden around temple which is very beautiful and glorious with weeds. A short pathway joins to the temple which is usually locked.

Palpara are located 59 km from Kolkata on the Sealdah-Krishnanagore railway line. In local train you can reached in Palpara within in a 1 hour 30 minutes. All the Trains are most frequently available for that cause it was very good when you take the morning train from Sealdah station.

From Palpara railway station you walk along to a T-juction and after that take a left trun to wards Lokenath Bhavan and Durganagar Tarakdas Vidya Mandir.From this are that was short walk to Palpara Mandir .
