Highlights of Us President Barack Obama on India tour.


President Osama's will reach Mumbai in the afternoon of November 6 on his four day visit to India on his 10-day trip to Asia

The US President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle, number of high level officials like delegations like National Security Adviser , Secretary of Treasury; Secretary of Commerce; Secretary of Agriculture etc and 200 business leaders are expected to reach Mumbai on November 6 afternoon in a four day visit to India. He will leave Mumbai for Delhi in the afternoon of November 7. From Delhi he will start for Indonesia in the afternoon of November. So far this schedule is fixed up.

The main purpose of his visit is to increase business opportunities between the two countries.

Barack Obama In Mumbai


President Obama will stay at the Taj hotel of Mumbai. He will visit St Xavier's college, celebrate Diwali at a primary school, and visit Mani Bhavan to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi, attend a Business meeting.
In the afternoon of November 7, he will start for Delhi.

Barack Obama In Delhi


In Delhi, he will be the guest of honour at a dinner party hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur. 25 guests are also invited in the dinner party. The list includes Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Pranab Mukherjee, SM Krishna, P Chidambaram, Salman Khursheed, Prithviraj Chauhan, and Montek Singh. Writer Javed Akhtar and his actress wife Shabana Azmi are also invited in the dinner with President Obama and his wife. President Obama will visit Humayun's tomb, Raj Ghat and there will a reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Obama and Prime Minister will meet on November 8 followed by a joint press conference.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Vice-President of India, Leader of Opposition, L.K.Advani and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will call on President Obama.

President Obama will address a joint session of both houses of Parliament. He will meet President of India. President Obama's India visit will come to an end with a dinner for him and the First Lady at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Obama's mission



This visit is mainly economical. President Obama's mission is to expand the export from his country to India so that more job opportunities will be created in America.
