Result of opinion poll for West Bengal assembly election 2011

This article is about opinion polls conducted by Aaj Tak for West Bengal assembly election seeking public verdict.

As the election days are coming nearer we are seeing rallies on roads, each and every politician of West Bengal as well as politicians of Centre are watching proceedings of West Bengal. After 32 years of Left from Government will there be any change or again left front will be back for five more years.

Aaj Tak, India today, Mail today and ORG conducted an opinion poll for four days from 20th March to 24th March seeking views of about 14000 peoples of different horizons and came to a conclusion.

Who will be Chief Minister of West Bengal after assembly election 2011

IN this question Mamata Banerjee was unanimous choice. About 48.6% people voted for Mamata Banerjee as next CM of West Bengal. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee inspite of trying hard to develop the state could not get people favor as even compared with Jyoti Basu he got 12% votes in comparison to 56% votes for Jyoti Basu as better CM.

According to public view most important issue in this election will be rising price followed by corruption.

Public view for Mamata Banerjee as Railway Minister

Mamata Banerjee has been able to make an impact among West Bengal public. When asked about the working of Mamata Banerjee as Railway Minister about 74.2% votes went in favor of her and claimed that she has worked very well as Railway Minister while 17.2 percent people claimed that she was bad as Railway Minister and rest 7.3% people havent given any conclusive thought.

West Bengal Bidhan sabha election 2011 opinion poll result

According to opinion poll, Trinmul Congress will be getting clear majority and will replace 32 years old Left front Government.

Out of 294 assembly seats Trinamul Congress and its alliance Congress will be getting 182 seats out of which 148 seats will be of Trinamul Congress.

Left front may be able to bag only 101 seats, thus will be at opposition.

However the opinion poll is too early and at present Not only West Bengal but whole India in in the mood of world cup cricket match and things can change as time goes on, though Aaj Tak claims that the margin of error will be minimum in this opinion poll.
