Background of Primary teachers training course in West Bengal


Primary teachers training course is compulsory up to 2005 in west Bengal for the primary teachers. In 13th Dec 2005 west Bengal government amend the primary teachers related act and announce that trained and non-trained all candidates are eligible for the primary teachers. Teachers' recruitment started as per the act in 2006 and through the advertisement published in 2009.

New courses for Primary teachers training in West Bengal


Now a new course has came in the place of old teacher training course. New D. Ed (Diploma in Education) and D.L. Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) courses are compulsory for all primary teacher candidates in west Bengal as per NCTE. The centers offering the course should be approved by NTCE and also in case of West Bengal should be approved by West Bengal Primary Teachers council (Poschimbongo Prathomik Sikha Parsad).
Application forms are available now for this 2 year course. Below are the eligibility criteria for candidates:


Eligibility criteria for application in Diploma in Elementary Education (DL. Ed) Course in West Bengal



Education:


Higher Secondary (HS) pass with 50% marks are eligible for the course. 45% marks is for SC, ST,OBC and PH candidates.

Age Limit:


18 to 35 years as on 01.07.2011. There are age relaxations for SC, ST and OBC candidates. If any candidate is working as a primary teacher without training they can also apply. In this case age limit will be 50 years.

Course Fees:


There is no tution fee for this course but other fees like development fees, Electricity charges, Library fees, examination fees etc applicable.


How to apply for the primary teacher training course in West Bengal



You should apply as per the format available in the website www.banglarmukh.gov.in. You should attach the fallowing with your application:
1. Attested Xerox copy of your madhyamik admit card or certificate.
2. Attested Xerox copy of your madhyamik and Higher Secondary mark sheet.
3. Attested Xerox copy of your cast certificate (if applicable)
4. 2 recent passport size photo(Self attested). One photo should be affix with the application.
5. A demand draft of Rs 25/-from any Gov. bank in the name of the principal or In-charge.

There is no application fee for deputed candidate. Last date of application is 7th May (15th June for deputed candidate) . There are many teachers training organization I West Bengal. One candidate should apply for one institute only otherwise application will be rejected.
