Jeera Aloo: In Microwave
In bengal, we eat Aloo everyday in many forms. Today its Jeera Aloo, which goes very well with Roti/ Paratha or even with Rice. Its very simple to make specially in Microwave. It takes only 8 minutes to cook and the preparion time is approx 5 minutes. Please take a try, hope you will like it.
Everyday we eat Aloo/ Potato in different form in our Lunch and Dinner. Today I am going to have Jeera Aloo in Microwave with least Oil and lots of Jeera.
Ingredients required for Jeera Aloo:
Potatoes: 2 large sizes cut into finger type French fries
Cumin Seeds (Jeera): 1 teaspoon
Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder (Haldi): ½ teaspoon
Coriander Powder (Dhania): 2 teaspoon
Mustard Oil: 2 tablespoon
Salt: to taste
Chopped Coriander Leaves: 2 tablespoon (For Garnishing)
Procedure to make your Jeera Aloo:
In a microwave safe bowl, add the oil and the cumin seeds and Microwave them in High temperature for 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients well and cover them with a micro proof lid and Microwave them in High temperature for 7 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
It's ready now. Serve them hot after garnishing this with chopped coriander leaves.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
