Ingredients required for Preparing Amer Chatni Recipe
4 medium sized Raw Mangoes
2 tablespoon Oil
2 Red Chiilies
1 Cup Sugar
2 tablespoon Panch Phoran
Salt to taste
Method of preparing Amer Chatni
Peel the skin of the Raw mangoes.
Cut the mangoes into thick slices.
Now in a frying pan heat oil.
When smokes come out of the oil, put the flame into medium mode.
Now add 1 tablespoon panch Phoron and dry red chillies to the oil.
Stir them still they crackles.
When they start crackling add the mango slices and saute for 2 mins.
Now add 2 cups of warm water to them and stir.
Now add the sugar and again stir it.
Cook on medium flame till the sugar melts and the mangoes are cooked and the consistency turns thick.
In the mean time, in another frying pan roast the remaining panch phoron and grind it to a powder.
Now after cooking is complete, remove the chutney from heat and allow it to cool.
Now sprinkle the panch phoron powder on top and serve it.
