Thus there is no problem of accessibility associated with this place. Koch king Maharaja Nripendra Narayan made this he and fascinating building in 1887. It is huge in size and covers in total an area of 4768 square metres. The palace has a huge collection of articles including historical paintings that are worth watching. Now the palace is under custody of Archaeological Survey of India which looks after the palace and its maintenance. Madan Mohan Bari of Cooch Behar, North Bengal
Another famous tourist place in north Bengal is Madan Mohan Bari of Cooch Behar. It is also situated quite near to the Cooch Behar district. And thus easily accessible. Maharaja Nripendra Narayan constructed the temple in 1885. Thus a lot of historical importance is attached with this beautiful temple. Kamteswari Temple is one of the visited temples in North Bengal. It is located at a distance of 8 km from the Cooch Behar district . The temple was made by Maharaja Pran Narayan in 1665. This temple also celebrates a number of festivals like Batha Festival of Debi in the month of Magh. A lot of people participate in these festivals as these are considered to be of special importance in our mythology.
Baneswar Temple of Cooch Behar, North Bengal
Baneswar Temple is at a distance of 10 Km from the Cooch Behar district and is a very popular temple in the North Bengal. The major attraction of the temple is a 'Shivalinga' 10 feet below the plinth level. Another interesting feature of the temple is a pond in its premises which is a home to number of tortoises. So do not forget to get a glimpse of these tortoises also when you come to the Baneswar Temple of Cooch Behar.
Madhupur Dham temple of Cooch Behar, North Bengal
