Muslim candidates win in large numbers in west Bengal assembly election 2011


Main attraction in west Bengal Bidhan Sabha election 2011 is the winning of large number of Muslim candidates. In this election total fifty five candidates win from different parties which is the good news for Muslim society and which is rare in this state assembly. Though Muslims are only 27% of total voters in west Bengal but all party are busy to oil them.

Main attraction in this Bidhan Sabha election is the winning of large number of Muslim candidates. In this election total fifty five candidates win from different parties which is the good news for Muslim society and which is rare in this state assembly. To get the support of Muslim society all party stood a large number of Muslim candidate even also the so called Hindu's party BJP. Though Muslims are only 27% of total voters in west Bengal but all party are busy to oil them. Up to 2006 most of Muslims are with CPM but they divert after disclose of Sacchar committee report and it concentrate after Singur and Nandigram case.
For these reason most of the Muslim vote bank goes in favor of Mamtaa.

Statistics of Muslim candidates from different parties in west Bengal election 2011


Total number of Muslim candidates in left front were 56 and win 16 candidate. On the other hand Trinamool's total Muslim candidates were 39 out of 226 of Trinamool candidates. After declaration of assembly result it is observed that total number of winning Muslim candidates from Trinamool is 24 and from Congress is 15.
Winning Muslim candidates from Left Front are Abdur Rejjack Molla, Anisur Rahaman, Ahamed Hossain etc. where as from Trinamool Congress winning candidates are Firoja Bibi, Firhad Hakim, Javed Khan, Muzaffar Khan, Rukbanur Rahaman, Abduj Karim Choudhury etc.
