Kalimpong is a beautiful hill station located on the Lower Himalayas range in West Bengal. It is situated on the banks of river Teesta. How to reach Kalimpong
New Jalpaiguri Junction is the nearest railway station in Kalimpong. New Jalpaiguri railway station is well connected with all major cities of India. From there one can easily get taxi cabs or hired cars or even buses to reach Kalimpong.
Kalimpong is easily accessible from Siliguri by road. It is nearly 2hrs journey from Siliguri to Kalimpong. Darjeeling is also very near to Kalimpong and the journey from Darjeeling to Kalimpong is nearly 1 ½ hrs. One can easily get buses, taxis, hired cars to reach Kalimpong from Siliguri, and Darjeeling.
The nearest Airport is Bagdogra Airport. It is nearly 80km away from Kalimpong. There are regular flights from Kolkata, Guwahati, Delhi, and Mumbai to reach Bagdogra Airport.

The climatic condition of Kalimpong remains pleasant all through the year. The best time to visit Kalimpong is during March to May and September to December months.

Places to see in Kalimpong
Deollo Hill is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Kalimpong. It is a vast plateau type, which is surrounded by dry landscaped and open lawns. This place has a beautiful lake and garden where you can sit and enjoy the cool breeze. This hill is located on much higher altitude and one can have a marvelous view of the whole town.
Just next to Deollo Hill is the Hanuman Mandir. There is a large statue of Hanuman upon a small hillock
Dr. Graham's Homes
Dr. Graham's home is the school and home for orphan children from all parts of India. It was founded in the year 1900 by Dr. John Anderson Graham. It is located on the lower slopes of Deollo Hill. Tourists can visit this place at any time of the year. The school has its own playfield, garden and scenic beauty is really very nice and pleasant.
Lepcha Museum and Monastery
Lepcha Museum is located in Bag Dhara place and this is also a must see place in Kalimpong. This place has a huge collection of ethnic treasures of Lepchas, manuscripts, musical instruments and other equipments used by the Lepchas.
Kalimpong is famous for its flower nurseries, which are also worth visited. Flowers of this area are mostly exported to the northern part of India. Some of the most noted nurseries of West Bengal are Brindaban Garden Nursery, Ganesh Mani Pradhan Nursery, Pinewood Nursery and Standard nursery.
