Ingredients for Making Bengali Subzi Shorba Soup
1 medium carrot which is perfectly chopped
1 medium chopped potato
1 medium chopped tomato
2 black cardamoms
1 tablespoon oil
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
4-5 chopped garlic cloves
1 inch ginger chopped
salt to taste
3 cups vegetable stock
2-3 black peppercorns which should be crushed
2 tablespoons fresh coriander which is chopped
Preparation of Bengali Subzi Shorba Soup
1-> Tie the black cardamoms and cloves in a piece of muslin to make a potli.
2-> Place the oil, bay leaf, cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, onion, carrot, potato, tomato, salt ands vegetable stock in a large microwave safe dish.
3-> Add the spice potli and cook, covered at 900 W for ten minutes.
4-> Remove the spice potli and bay leaf. Cool and puree the vegetables in a blender till smooth.
5-> Strain and reheat at 900 W for two minutes.
6-> Sprinkle with crushed peppercorns, garnish with the fresh coriander and serve immediately.
