New Projects taken by Ms. Mamata Banerjee


West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee has announced her future projects today in a Kolkata Meet where she declares these mentioned projects to be done in coming years in West Bengal. As per the new projects, there will be more medical colleges, scope of recruitment and reward programs to be offered by State Government.

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee gave away prizes to representatives from medical fraternity during a felicitation programme at Swastha Bhawan. Ms. Mamata Banerjee requested the doctors to be more humane as the common man looks upto them with faith and trust. Apart from these the Chief Minister highlighted on the initiatives taken to improve the health services in the state:

- 1,725-new-medical colleges. (Increase in number from existing 800).
- Seven medical districts.
- 27-super hospitals.
- 40-SNCU units.
- Bridging the gap between old and new hospitals.
- Those working in rural areas and interested to study in the post graduate diploma as well as degree courses will get 40 to 50 percent reservation.

Thus these vacancy will be created in this year for the recruitment:
- Induction of More than 300 medical trainers.
- Induction of 232 medical officers.
- Induction of 37 medical experts.
- Induction of 250 auxiliary nurses.
- Induction of 2,500 nurses.

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee also announced the prizes in the following category:
1. 12- primary-health-centres were given 50-thousand rupees for carrying out
300 to 1000 successful deliveries.
2. Three-primary-health-centres were given one-lakh rupees for carrying out 300 to 1000 successful deliveries.
3. 38-block-primary-health-centres (Gramin Hospital) were given 1.5 lakh rupees for carrying out 1000 to 1,500 successful deliveries.
4. 12-block-primary-health-centres were given two-lakh rupees for carrying out more than 2,500 successful deliveries.
5. Four-block-primary-health-centres were given one-lakh rupees for carrying out 1,500 successful deliveries which included five to 10 percent cesarean cases.
6. Two-block-primary-health-centres were given two-lakh rupees for carrying out 1,500 successful deliveries which included five to 10 percent cesarean cases.
