Mamata Banerjee announcement at Nadia in February 2012

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announces development packages for Nadia district of West Bengal. Here is the detail what our beloved Mamata Didi said. List of all future projects at Nadia announced by CM Mamata Banerjee.

"I believe working at the grass-root level as otherwise it is not possible to ascertain the actual problems or difficulties and to bridge the gap I initiated touring districts. I am happy that we have covered almost all the districts and will complete the rest before February 10 excepting Murshidabad which I will take up once I complete this tour. The advantage of such interactions is that we can analyze the mistakes and rectify them. Also I give instruction on the spot as I don't believe in lingering any issue, what is required will have to done", said West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee who was in Nadia district of West Bengal on a routine visit to districts. Ms. Banerjee who reached Nadia late evening on Monday convened a high-level-administrative meeting on Tuesday morning at the Circuit House where she gave a patient hearing to the people in the district-administration trying to understand the problems.

The meeting lasted for nearly three-hours. "We had a long meeting and during this meeting I was trying to understand the problems as only then we can work towards the development on Nadia, this is a common practice everywhere I visit. However, I am happy that the meeting was fruitful", added the Chief Minster who after the meeting had a programme hosted by the railways.

"In Nadia, today we have inaugurated a number of trains. Many more are in the offing which will benefit the passengers those commuting on this line. The rail-revolution began two-years ago when I was railways minister. My mission was to bring more and more trains to my state and I sanctioned all the projects. People in Bengal will not have to lament for trains once all the projects are implemented which may take another few years", said the Chief Minister who was speaking at the inauguration of gauge-conversion from narrow-gauge to broad-gauge between Krishnanagar and Shantipur line which will improve and increase the speed of the trains plying on this route. "I had sanctioned various projects like during the time I was the railways minister and today's inauguration is also a part of that initiative. I am sure this will ease the burden on the commuters especially the office rush. Trains enrooted to Krishanagar-Shantipur-Ranaghat-Krishnanagar yet another plying to BBD Bagh", said Ms. Banerjee.

Reiterating her conviction to take the railways to every nook and corner in West Bengal she said, "The people in Bengal will never have to lament for trains as I have tried my best to enrich the state. In the coming moths I will be announcing many more trains. However, you will be happy to know that we are on the last leg to develop Metro Railways by diversifying the routes. Metro will ply upto Kalyani and we are building the East-West Metro Railways which will cover Ramrajatala". The Chief Minister also mentioned her commitment to generate employment in the state, "I am hopeful that in another one to one-and-half-years span there will nearly 1000-new jobs in state".

However, when asked if she would give accolades or punishments to the government servants depending on the performances, Ms. Mamata Banerjee said, "I refuse to agree to the term, all I have to say is that development work will get top-priority and I am the last person to accept any lacuna on anybody's part. Please remember that work can not wait and will not wait on the whims of a few anybody". Ms. Banerjee who keeps a vigil on everything did not miss the PRESS as she was aggrieved to find out there was no proper place of the scribes in the district. Immediately she instructed the District Magistrate to allocate a suitable place for Nadia Press Club.
