Steps to prepare Sarsho Ilish
At first Hilsa fishes are marinated with turmeric powder & salt(as required). Then have to take some quantity of oil(mustard oil is preferred). Then oil is heated on a pan. Hilsa are fried in small quantity of oil till become light brown colour. Then they are taken out from pan. After that panch foron & mustard paste are added to the pan.Then have to shake with a large spoon. Then some quantity of water is added to it for making gravy. Then the fishes are added to it. Then salt is added to taste. After that it has to cover for preparing on steam. After that the cover is removed. Then we can get delicious smell. After some time we can taste the bengali's most wanted dish Sorshe Ilish.
This preparation is mostly served with rice. It is very popular food to Bengalies. So try it.
