Though trekkers are available as conveyance, but it would be advisable not to travel with them. Buses are better for the purpose. Attractions


One of the prime attraction why people, crowd here, is the sea. To reach the seashore you need to walk around for a few more minutes and cover around two Kilometers. Besides, the pine forests, Dariapur lighthouse, Kapalkundala temple are the other prime attractions. Moreover, you may visit places like Tajpur, Mandarmani, Dgha all lying in a hour's distance from the place. If you hire a rickshaw to visit the surrounding regions, it may charge you around RS 200. These rickshaws are motor expedited van rickshaws. Sitting on the wooden bench and viewing the surrounding regions including the green villages and seaside would be an unique and an interesting experience. Moreover, the early sunrise and the evening sunset attracts most of the visitors here and one sight that deserves notice here.

Dariapur lighthouse and Kapalkundala temple: From Contai buses are available for Rasulpur. Board a bus and get down at Petua. Dariapur is at four Kilometers from Petua. Here, you would find the famous Dariapur lighthouse and Kapalkundala temple. The lighthouse stands 75 meter tall and the amazing view from its top would win one's heart. Though restored in the recent past, the Kapalkundala temple is in its ruin. Once Bankim Chandra Chatterjee had written the novel 'Kapalkundala' on this temple.

Activity, food and drink.


The one best activity that you may enjoy doing here is to walk round the sea beach and through the green pine forests. Besides, you may sit at the serene sea beach in a tranquil atmosphere whilst it pleases you. Undoubtedly, the one best place for arranging a small picnic with the near and dear ones. You may swab your taste buds on the fish like the pomfrets and the lobsters. Besides, the fresh fish and the dry fish are also available from the local markets.
